How about approaching a sausage in a slightly more unusual way? Here you go! Sausage stewed with lentils and kale is a perfect dish! Serve it to your family and your guests. Nobody gets up from the table hungry!

Sausage with red lentils
The flavour of the dish will be perfectly complemented by fresh bread.



Ingredients
- 2 ZM Pekpol Podwawelska sausages
- 1 small red onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 50 g red lentils
- 1 can chopped tomato
- 1 handful of roughly chopped kale
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme
- 250-350 ml broth or water
- salt, pepper
Preparation
Cut each sausage into 3 parts. Dice the onion finely and chop the garlic. Heat the olive oil in a large deep-frying pan or pot and add the onion and garlic. Fry for 2 minutes and add sausage.
Fry for 1 minute. Then add the canned tomatoes together with the broth or water and the lentils. Cover, season with a teaspoon of salt and thyme and cook for 30 minutes or until the lentils are ready. Add more water if needed. Finally, season to taste with salt and pepper.
