CHOOSING A PERFECT SAUSAGE
Whether it’s pork, poultry or veal, traditional or spicy – the choice of sausage in the shop today is almost unlimited. It is important to buy consciously – read labels and check the quality of products. Medium minced sausages, preferably from pork, in a natural casing, work best on the barbecue. Before you find the sausage that hits your taste buds in the perfect way, it’s worth trying different types. TO CUT OR NOT TO CUT?
Thanks to the well-made cuts, the sausage looks great and tastes even better. Without cutting, uncontrolled cracking or burning may occur. To avoid this, it is a good idea to cut the sausage slightly, creating diagonal strips or a chequerboard pattern (2 cm deep). Cutting too deep can dry out the sausage on the grill. You can put pieces of yellow cheese or slices of garlic in the cuts.

To add extra flavour to the sausage, you can use a ready-made barbecue seasoning mix or prepare it yourself. Hot and sweet paprika powder, granulated garlic and herb pepper go perfectly with the sausage. Simply rub the sausage with the spices of your choice a few hours before grilling. The sausages can also be grilled accompanied by chopped onions sprinkled with salt and pepper.
