A new take on tradition

Potato pudding rolls

Inspired by traditional stuffed cabbage rolls, these can be prepared on the grill or in the oven. If you want to go for a fit version, replace the cream with natural yoghurt.

Ingredients

  • 1 packaging ZM Pekpol Ostrołęka potato pudding
  • 16 slices ZM Pekpol Ostrołęka smoked bacon
  • 1 small savoy cabbage
  • 1 small packaging sour cream (18%)
  • 1 small bunch chive stalks
  • salt, pepper

Preparation

Mix sour cream with chopped chives. Season with salt and pepper.

Remove the potato sausage from the casing. Cut out the stalk from the cabbage. Then immerse the cabbage for 10 minutes in a pot of boiling water. During this time, the cabbage will be scalded and its leaves will soften, facilitating making rolls.

Gently separate the leaves from the scalded cabbage. Cut off the hard parts. Wrap the pudding with two cabbage leaves and then with a slice or two of bacon. Use toothpicks to secure the roll. Grill for 15-20 minutes, turning frequently. Serve the rolls with the cream sauce.
